It’s not the way Broncos fans would’ve drawn it up; fans leave disappointed after beatdown in Kansas City

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Coming off an AFC Championship Game appearance last year (which could've been a Super Bowl if Bo Nix isn't hurt), Broncos fans at Rhino's Sports and Spirits were riding high.

"The Broncos are going to win. That's what I'm expecting," Grayson said before the game, clad in a Broncos jersey, chain, belt buckle, and socks. "Blowout. Broncos. Broncos are going to blow them out."

The few Chiefs fans in the sports bar were confident too.

"It's going to be a great season for the Chiefs, and a lot of tears in the Broncos' World," Dan Hinton said.

After the first half, it was anyone's game, and everyone was cautiously optimistic.

"I'm feeling pretty good right now. You know, we still get another half. This Broncos defense is formidable," Thomas Whitley, wearing a Derrick Thomas #58 jersey, said.

"We got to stop Kenneth Walker. He's killing us tonight," Whitley's friend and Broncos fan Aaron Lautenberg said.

Lautenberg was right; the Broncos did need to stop Walker, but they didn't, and he ran wild. This led to scores of disappointed Broncos fans and four very happy Chiefs fans.

"I feel great now, but I must admit that better outcome than I ever expected tonight," Hinton said.
