Traffic backed up on northbound I-25 between South Academy Blvd and US 85

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- A crash on northbound Interstate 25 near Stratmoor is causing a major backup.

According to the Colorado Department of Transportation, traffic is backed up between South Academy Boulevard and US 85.

Officials say to expect delays and use caution in the area.

The crash was cleared around 5:30 p.m., but traffic maps still showed heavy traffic in the area.
