Driver killed after crashing into building during medical episode, CSPD says

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) — A driver died after crashing into a building in eastern Colorado Springs on Saturday, police said.

The Colorado Springs Police Department said officers responded around 7 p.m. Saturday to a crash on the 1100 block of North Circle Drive for a single-vehicle crash. They arrived to learn the driver of the car lost control and crashed into a local business, causing minor damage, police said.

Police said first responders tried to revive the driver but was unsuccessful.

The driver was pronounced dead on the scene, police said.

CSPD said the driver had a medical episode before the crash but did not release further details.
