Heavy rainfall prompts road closure in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Both directions of Popes Valley Drive are closed due to damage from recent heavy rainfall.

The Colorado Springs Police Department said some of the asphalt had washed down into the creek bed.

There is no estimate for when repairs will be complete.
