Tracking hot temps & a few showers

TODAY: Expect above-average highs in the low 90s in Colorado Springs and mid-90s in Pueblo. There's a chance for a few isolated showers and thunderstorms along and east of I-25 this afternoon and evening, and scattered showers across the San Luis Valley late tonight.

TOMORROW: We wake up with the potential for a few lingering showers across the plains. More moisture will roll into Colorado, bringing scattered PM showers and thunderstorms. Highs will be similar to Thursday.

EXTENDED: We slowly cool to the high 80s in Colorado Springs and low 90s in Pueblo by early next week as storm chances and chances for severe weather, including flash flooding along burn scars, increase each day.
