CSFD responding to two-alarm fire in downtown Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) is responding to a two-alarm commercial fire at 101 W. Colorado Ave. in downtown Colorado Springs.

CSFD says the fire was under control as of 7:30 p.m. Officials are asking people to avoid the area while crews work on the fire.

Officials say crews will remain on the scene for a few hours while they investigate.
