Southbound Powers Blvd. closed due to severe crash

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) is on the scene of a trapped traffic accident on southbound Powers Boulevard.

CSFD says one person was trapped in the car under a semi-trailer but has since been extracted and is being taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Police say all of southbound Powers is closed at the intersection of Barnes Road.
