Colorado Springs nail salon asking for tips after women dashed out the door without paying
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO)-- A nail salon in southern Colorado Springs is asking for the public’s help after two customers allegedly received services, then walked out without paying.
Staff say the women were caught on surveillance video, and the footage has already sparked online recognition and outrage from viewers who believe they know who they are.
The salon is now hoping someone will come forward. The owner says he doesn't want to press charges; he just wants the customers to do the right thing.
"Money is nothing for me. You know, like, I just want them to learn a lesson, you should not do that, like businesses or anybody else. Don't do that, it's unacceptable," said Tan Dang, the owner at Skyline Nails and Spa.
With Christmas right around the corner, he says this isn’t about embarrassment or punishment, but about accountability.
Dang tells KRDO13 the customers seemed normal until they headed to the front to pay, and then they took off.
"If she told me before, you know, I can not afford it, I can tell her to do a different style or whatever, you know, like that better."
Dang says he applied two discounts for the nail and waxing services, a student discount and a military discount. He hopes the girls see the video circulating online and come forward, not to pay a bill, but to make things right.
Dang says during a season centered on giving, honesty is free, and it's worth far more than a manicure.
A similar situation occurred back in June at a different salon when two women dashed out the door without paying. Click here to read more.
