Southern Colorado prepares for heat wave
EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for El Paso, Pueblo, Crowley, Otero, Bent, and Prowers Counties for Thursday.
The advisory indicates that temperatures will range from 100 to 106 degrees in the eastern counties. El Paso County and Pueblo County are expecting temperatures from 95 to 103 degrees.
Those temperatures can cause illness. Officials are asking people to ensure they are drinking enough water and wear lightweight clothing on Thursday. If possible, people should try to stay inside with air conditioning.
