What CPW believes led up to woman’s death at Lake Pueblo State Park

PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) -- Saturday afternoon, a woman was killed at Lake Pueblo State Park. Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) said it was a tragic accident involving a powered watercraft and contact with the engine propeller.
KRDO13 followed up with CPW Monday, which said there is an investigation in progress and it is too early in the process to determine the outcome.
CPW said from preliminary reports, it appears the boat was under power to depart from a full stop and the woman fell off the back of the boat onto the propeller.
This was a pontoon boat with three pontoons and an outboard motor that had been previously tied alongside similar boats, engines off, floating together, according to the agency.
