Driver rescued from car, hospitalized following rollover crash on I-25 in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) – Crews say a driver is now in the hospital after being rescued from a trapped car following a rollover crash on southbound I-25.

According to the Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD), just after 10 p.m. on July 20, crews responded to the scene of a car crash that had trapped a driver just south of the South Nevada Avenue on-ramp.

Just minutes later, CSFD confirmed they had safely extracted the driver from the vehicle, which had rolled off the road. They were the only person inside the car.

The driver was taken to the hospital. At the latest update, the extent of their injuries was unknown.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
