Family of four displaced after major house fire on Tonka Avenue

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - Four people are displaced after a fire ripped through a home in Colorado Springs.
Colorado Springs Fire says they fought a structure fire on Tonka Avenue in the early morning hours of Sunday. CSFD says they went to the scene at 2:18 Sunday morning. When they went to the scene, firefighters "saw a glow in the distance," and called a working fire.
45 firefighters responded to the structure fire, and below-freezing temperatures and wind chill caused some of the equipment to freeze but did not hinder the fight. Three firefighters were injured due to slipping on ice.
Multiple windows and doors of the home can be seen charred and burnt.
They are investigating the cause of the fire now.
