PFD

PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) - The Pueblo Fire Department (PFD) says they responded to a house fire over Thanksgiving in the University Park area.

Officials say when they arrived around midnight, they saw flames coming from the back of the home.

A representative with PFD told KRDO13 that there was smoke damage to the interior of the home, most of the damage was on the outside porch as well as the connecting window and door.

They say thankfully, the smoke detectors went off, and the family got out before crews arrived.

PFD says the fire was "quickly extinguished and everyone exited the home safely."

This fire is still under investigation.
