District Attorney completed investigation into allegations related to 5th Congressional District race
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - Colorado’s 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office (DA) has completed its investigation into allegations related to the 5th Congressional District race.
The DA says that allegations were raised in an affidavit submitted on March 18, 2024. The allegation stated, “Dave Williams and Vickie Tonkins violated Colorado CRS 1-13-301 by using their positions as party chairs to withhold the list of delegates from… candidates for Congressional District 5 while providing access to Dave Williams.”
The investigation did not uncover sufficient evidence to support the allegation and no criminal charges will be filed.
