2 people sustain minor injuries after plane makes emergency landing in field in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) responded to the east side of the city Friday afternoon for a small aircraft that made an emergency landing in a field.

CSFD said the aircraft landed north of Airport Rd. and Powers Blvd. The two people in the plane sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene.

According to officials, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will investigate and determine why the plane had to make an emergency landing.
