Area clear following heavy police presence on 7th Ave. in Pueblo
PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) - The Pueblo Police Department (PPD) reported a heavy police presence on 7th Ave. Wednesday morning.
The PPD told people should avoid the area of the 2800 block of 7th Ave.
Approximately an hour after reporting the situation, the PPD said the area was clear and all roads were open.
According to police, they were investigating a person who is possibly associated with crimes in the community. When officers arrived at the suspect's residence, the person barricaded themselves inside the home. The PPD SWAT Team responded with negotiators and the person was eventually taken into custody without any further issues. This individual has not been identified.
