Fort Carson is hosting a war dog memorial run to honor K-9 vets
EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- Fort Carson is honoring K-9 veterans and their handlers this weekend through a family-friendly race. It's called the 'War Dog Memorial 5-K' and the '1-Mile Fun Run.' Both races will start at 9 a.m. tomorrow, March 23 at Iron Horse Park.
The event is open to all Department of Defense ID cardholders and their guests. The race route is on asphalt and dirt terrain and is stroller-friendly. Installation breed restrictions apply and all dogs must remain on leashes.
