Investigation underway in Fountain;1 person dead 1 injured

FOUNTAIN, Colo. (KRDO)-- A heavy police presence is in the Fountain area near the Pikes Peak International Raceway after one person was found dead and another was injured.

According to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office, investigation efforts are taking place at Pemmican Point.

The call for service came in around 3:22 a.m. on Monday, February 19th.

So far deputies say there's no suspect information or any arrests, however there is no active threat to the community.
