Colorado Springs fire responding to traffic accident with trapped party
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) is responding to a traffic accident with trapped parties at N Chestnut Street and W Filmore St.
The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) says that a commercial vehicle going down Fillmore appears to have a failure of its brakes, colliding with a semi before coming to a rest in the Kum and Go Parking lot.
CSFD says that the patient was extricated just before 12:20 p.m. According to CSPD, the injuries are minor.
Northbound Chestnut will remain closed at Fillmore during clean-up, expected to last a few hours.
