CSPD announces Valentine’s Day contest for kids ages 3-10

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) has announced the start of its fifth annual Valentine's Day contest.
CSPD said this year, they are giving away a herd of unicorns to the winners. These stuffed animals have been working in specialized units around the department but are ready to find their forever homes.
Over the coming days, CSPD will be sharing more about the unicorns and their special talents.
For the contest, kids ages 3 - 10 should send in creative, homemade Valentine cards to CSPD and Chief Vasquez will pick the top three. Those three will then be shared across CSPD's social media so that the community can vote on their favorite.
You can send in your cards to CSPD at 705 S. Nevada Ave or drop them off there, or at any substation. All cards must be in by Feb. 7.
CSPD said cards be as creative, big, and glittery as you want! The only rules are that submitters must be between the ages of 3 - 10 and live in El Paso County.
