Structure fire in downtown Colorado Springs damages several businesses

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) responded to a structure fire at 15 E Bijou in downtown Colorado Springs Monday morning.

CSFD says that Bijou was closed between Tejon and Cascade and that a third alarm was called for this fire.

According to CSFD, multiple people and businesses were displaced because the building has several stores and restaurants in it. There is heavy smoke damage to the entire bottom floor.

Just after 11 a.m. CSFD said that the fire was under control. The area opened around 3 p.m. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
