COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) is encouraging folks to spend time outdoors over the Thanksgiving holiday and is offering free entry to all 42 of Colorado's state parks on Fresh Air Friday.

Fresh Air Friday this year is on Nov. 24, the day after Thanksgiving.

This day is a state holiday, so some park visitor centers may not be open or fully staffed, CPW said. Enforcement personnel will be patrolling the parks but some visitor services may be limited.

For more information on Colorado's state parks, visit the  Colorado State Park Finder or use the free Colorado Trail Explorer (COTREX) mobile app to discover local parks, trail systems, and open spaces.
