New updates for Colorado Springs Airport
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO)-- Officials with the Colorado Springs Airport (COS) are providing some monthly updates and statistics ahead of the holiday season.
Traffic at the Colorado Springs Airport (COS) has soared for September, marking a 12% increase compared to last year.
During September, COS recorded serving 217,748 total passengers, reflecting a continued pattern of growth in 2023.
As the holiday season approaches, COS is also announcing nonstop flights to three destinations: San Antonio (SAT), San Diego (SAN), and Houston (HOU) on Southwest Airlines. (Updates on the non-stop routes are listed below)
These nonstop routes will be available for select dates in November, December, and January, with the added news that the Houston (HOU) service will extend beyond January to keep up with passenger demand.
Holiday travelers can also take advantage of discounted parking this season.
COS officials stated they are relaunching their popular holiday parking promotion, offering 50 percent off daily long-term parking from November 20, 2023, to November 26, 2023, and December 20, 2023, to January 2, 2024.
Finally, to enhance the traveler experience, COS has started its "ElevateCOS" concourse modernization project.
This project will help restore aging terminal infrastructure, boost accessibility, and advance sustainability initiatives.
