Emergency response exercise planned for Wed. at the USAFA

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (KRDO) -- The U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA) is scheduled to conduct an emergency response exercise on Wed., Oct. 25 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The Academy announced the exercise Tuesday and said people on or near the Academy may see increased responder activity, hear alarms and/or simulated gunfire, simulated explosions, or see smoke from training devices. Brief delays to base traffic and routine services are possible.

The USAFA said the emergency response exercise has been planned and coordinated with multiple first responder agencies, clinics, and hospitals throughout the region. Some organizations will be directly participating in the exercise.
