Broncos safety Kareem Jackson suspended by NFL for 4 games

MGN

DENVER, Colo. (KRDO) -- Broncos safety Kareem Jackson has been suspended four games without pay by the NFL following his latest penalty for unnecessary roughness on Sunday in Denver.

The hit in question came against Green Bay Packers tight end Luke Musgrave and resulted in Jackson's second ejection of the season. He was also ejected for a similar hit in the Broncos Week 2 game against Washington. He has also been fined four times.

According to our news partners in Denver, NFL Vice President of Policy and Rules Administration. Jon Runyan said in a letter to Jackson: “On the play in question, you delivered a forceful blow to the head/neck area of a defenseless receiver, when you had the time and space to avoid such contact. You could have made contact with your opponent within the rules, yet you chose not to.”
