Breast Cancer Awareness Month at St. Mary-Corwin Hospital

PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO)-- In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October, St. Mary-Corwin Hospital (SMC) is hosting a special event for its patients and survivors. 

On Friday, October 27, “Changing for the Cure” will offer free oil changes to the first 20 breast cancer patients who call Jeremey’s Garage at 719-547-2450 and make an appointment.

“Change for the Cure” will be offering this special offer from 12-4 p.m. at Jeremy’s Garage (716 E. Industrial Blvd.), and appointments are on a first-come, first-serve basis.

A nurse from SMC will also be there from 12-4 p.m. to talk about breast cancer screenings and resources provided by the Dorcy Cancer Center at SMC.

In honor of this month, SMC officials added it’s also a good time to schedule an annual mammogram.
