COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) - On Tuesday afternoon, there will be an escort home for fallen Department of Corrections Parole Officer Christine Guerin Sandoval. It's set to begin at 3:15 p.m.

Ofc. Guerin Sandoval died in the line of duty on Sept. 28 while trying to serve an arrest warrant for a parolee.

At 3:15 p.m., the Colorado Springs Police Department and Colorado State Patrol will escort Ofc. Guerin Sandoval from the El Paso County Coroner's Office to Pueblo, where she lived.

CSPD provided a map of the route:

Community members and other law enforcement agencies are invited to line a portion of the route to pay respects to Ofc. Guerin Sandoval. People can line up along Highway 85/87 from Las Vegas St. south to the South Academy exit ramp.

People are asked not to go to the coroner's office to line up.

This procession is expected to impact traffic on I-25 from South Academy Blvd. in Colorado Springs to the 6th Street exit in Pueblo. That will be affected for an extended period starting at 3:15 p.m.

KRDO will have team coverage of that escort home.
