Former Rocky Ford Police officer arrested, accused of tampering with evidence and theft

LAS ANIMAS, Colo. (KRDO) - A former officer with the Rocky Ford Police Department was arrested for crimes he allegedly committed while he was still a cop.

Tuesday, law enforcement officials from the RFPD, Otero County Sheriff's Office, and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation arrested 41-year-old George Ibarra. The former officer faces the charges of tampering with evidence, official misconduct, and theft.

Ibarra has since been booked into the Bent County Sheriff's Office.
