First day of school begins for School District 49

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO)-- Even though our calendars say we’re still in the middle of summer, the break is over for one of the first local school districts going back to school.

Classes resumed yesterday Tuesday, August 1, and will re-start on Tuesday, August 2-3, in District 49. 

Since it’s that time of the year, remember to slow down in school zones and watch for school buses and kids walking or biking to class.
