Colorado Bureau of Investigation hosts annual Missing in Colorado event

CBI

LAKEWOOD, Colo. (KRDO)-- The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will host its annual Missing in Colorado event.

Families and friends of those missing for more than one year in the state are invited to join the community on Saturday, August 5, from 10-3 p.m. at the Lowry Conference Center in Denver located at 1061 Akron way in building #697.

The event is free and open to the public and gives Colorado families the opportunity to speak with other victims, victim advocates, and others as part of the event.

It will also provide resources to family members who have witnessed the impacts of having someone they love go missing.

Law enforcement, forensic professionals, and other non-profits will be on hand to provide families with information and resources. There will also be Spanish speakers available for non-English speakers/ families.

From 12-2 p.m., a private family support group will be held but space is limited at this event so reservations are required to attend.

For families of the missing who are unable to attend, the CBI offers a variety of missing person resources on their website at the link here.
