Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Colorado celebrates new Kiwanis Adventure Zone

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO)-- A newly adapted outdoor play space is celebrating its grand opening with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The Kiwanis Adventure Zone is a playground for everyone at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Colorado (RMHCSC).

The organization works to provide shelter, sustenance, and comfort for families seeking specialized medical treatment for children who are severely ill–and it comes at no cost to them.

The ceremony will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25, at the House located at 4223 Royal Pine Drive.

In preparing for the event, the House has seen a lot of activity right in its backyard as a Lowe’s Pro Team came to freshen the Adventure Zone paint, along with adding fencing and freshly planted flowers.

The Sign Shop, according to the RMHCSC, also helped to install a donor recognition piece.

Now, the House is celebrating the completion of this project and is thanking everyone who had a hand in making it happen.
