Multiple local law enforcement agencies team up to recover stolen vehicles
PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- This week, multiple law enforcement agencies from around the Pikes Peak Region teamed up for an operation to recover stolen vehicles.
The Pueblo Police Department (PPD), Colorado State Patrol, the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office, the Fountain Police Department, and the Canon City Police Department all teamed up for a day-long operation that resulted in the recovery of 11 stolen vehicles, six arrests, and discovery of a chop shop location.
PPD said the six people who were arrested had a total of 13 different warrants. Two of those individuals face additional charges for motor vehicle theft and two others will have charges referred to the District Attorney's Office for chop shop activities and theft.
