DURANGO, Colo. (KRDO) -- The overnight winter storm that hit some parts of Colorado dropped more than a foot of snow at Purgatory Resort.

Resort officials said Friday morning mountain crews are doubling down on snowmaking efforts, utilizing every available weather window to make snow.

Purgatory provided KRDO with photos of the fresh snow:

According to resort officials, Purgatory will kick off the first chair at 9 a.m. on Nov. 19. Opening day will feature a complimentary breakfast, giveaways, and festivities.

Purgatory will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through April 9, 2023, and then weekends only until April 23, 2023.
