Local law enforcement agencies team up to recover stolen vehicles, make multiple arrests

PUEBLO, Colo. (KRDO) -- Several local law enforcement agencies recently teamed up to recover a number of stolen vehicles and make several arrests.

Law enforcement members from the Pueblo Police Department (PPD), Fountain Police Department (FPD), and Canon City Police Department (CCPD) conducted the operation and recovered five stolen vehicles with a total value of around $32,000, according to the PPD.

The PPD said two men were arrested and charged with 1st-degree motor vehicle theft. A woman will have charges referred to the DA's Office for motor vehicle theft as well. A different woman was also detained during the operation for a local warrant and parole hold out of Denver.

PPD reminds everyone to close and lock all windows and doors when you park your vehicle. Also remember to keep any items of value out of sight.
