Barks and Boos pet-friendly Halloween event providing Fall fun for furry family members

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- A special Halloween themed fall festival is giving dogs something to howl about Sunday. The Barks and Boos event was created especially for pups to enjoy some Halloween fun too.

There will be a 'Howl-o-ween' pup parade and costume contest to get your pooch all dressed up and show him or her off in all their spooky cuteness. Four winners will get prizes from the event's vendors. Humans are asked not to dress up, but to leave it all to their furry best friend.

The event will feature dog-friendly enrichment activities. Such as a sniff and seek, a barn hunt, an agility obstacle course, a color recognition activity, a puzzle station, a photo booth, and so much more.

There will also be pet-focused vendors showing off some goodies. Such as dog beds, homemade pet treats, acupuncture and laser, and chiropractic just to name a few.

This event will be held at Under the Sun Dog Training and Daycare located at 6540 Vincent Dr. in North Colorado Springs. It runs from 11-3.

There will also be some special guests at the event. The Fountain Police Department Therapy K9 named Hulk will be there for a meet and greet. Plus a demonstration by the Colorado Springs Police Department K9 Unit.
