Deadly crash near Pikes Peak International Raceway temporarily closed northbound I-25
FOUNTAIN, Colo. (KRDO) -- A deadly crash temporarily closed northbound I-25 Thursday morning.
Just before 9 a.m., the Colorado Department of Transportation said the lanes were closed between Exit 122, Pikes Peak International Raceway, and Exit 123, Clear Spring ranch.
At 12:15 p.m., CDOT announced the road was back open.
Colorado State Patrol said a pickup truck and a semi-truck were involved in the crash.

CSP confirms one person died but it's unclear at this time what vehicle they were driving.
CDOT is advising drivers to use slower speeds, watch for emergency crews and use caution.
UPDATE:
The highway is back open -- now that the semi-truck involved in the crash is now clear from the scene.
New details in the deadly I-25 crash that caused major backups for drivers trying to make their morning commute revel the driver is being identified as a 57-year-old woman from Rigby, Idaho.
Crash investigators say she was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The crash happened just before 9-am causing major traffic back ups near Pikes Peak International Raceway.
Colorado State Patrol says a Toyota pick-up truck and a semi truck crashed near exit 122 just before 9 a-m.
Troopers say the pick-up truck crashed into the back of the semi -- when the driver failed to notice other cars slowing down because of the congested roadway.
The two people in the semi-truck are not hurt, they were wearing their seatbelts.
Colorado State Patrol is still investigating this crash and looking into other contributing factors.
