2022 Komen Colorado More Than Pink Walk happening in Denver on Oct. 23

DENVER, Colo. (KRDO) -- The 2022 Komen Colorado More Than Pink Walk is happening in Denver on Saturday, Oct. 23.

Coloradans across the state are invited to participate in a walk to raise funds that'll go toward helping fight breast cancer.

The walk site opens at 7 a.m. and the opening ceremony is at 9 a.m. at Civic Center Park.

Below is a breakdown of the activities that day:

  • 7 a.m.
    • Survivors and participants living with metastatic breast cancer (plus one guest) are invited to Hope Village for a morning of connection and food. From Hope Village, people will begin lining up at 8:45 a.m. for the Pathway of Hope.
    • People who raised $1,000 or more can enjoy a Top Fundraising Tent for morning refreshments with other Top Individual Fundraisers.
    • People who raised $2,500 or more with have a private event space.
  • 8:45 a.m. | If you are a survivor or living with metastatic breast cancer and can’t make it to Hope Village earlier in the morning, we encourage you to arrive no later than 8:45 to join the Pathway of Hope experience.
  • 9 a.m.
    • The Opening Ceremony begins.
  • 9:30 a.m.
    • The Walk begins

This year's Walk is 1.5 miles. Below is a map of the walk route:

Anyone who participates that raised a minimum of $100 will receive a commemorative event t-shirt. All survivors and people currently living with metastatic breast cancer will receive a t-shirt regardless of fundraising level.

Those shirts went out in the mail on Oct. 9. People who became eligible after that date can pick up a t-shirt at the Event Entrance at Civic Center between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. on the day of the Walk.

Paid parking is available at surrounding sites with limited street parking.

Anyone who can't join the Walk in person, they're encouraged to walk wherever there are.
