Colorado Parks and Wildlife hosts accessible outdoor pumpkin festival at Fisher’s Peak State Park

TRINIDAD, Colo. (KRDO) -- Colorado Parks and Wildlife is partnering with the ABC Disability Support Group to host an outdoor recreation festival focused on outdoor accessibility for everyone.

The first-ever pumpkin festival is designed for people with developmental or intellectual disabilities and their friends and families.

Below are some of the activities at the festival:

  • Learn more about wildlife in our area
  • Face paints
  • Storytime in the shade
  • Learn about and ride on Tracked Wheelchairs
  • Play fun backyard games

The festival happens Saturday, Oct. 15 at Fisher's Peak State Park from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
