Suspect charged for May homicide on Old Stage Road
EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- On May, 24, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office (EPCSO) was dispatched to the 4600 block of Old State Road to investigate a deceased person that was found by hikers.
The EPCSO said their detectives determined the death was suspicious with the help of the Colorado Springs Metro Crime Lab. The El Paso County Coroner identified the deceased as 30-year-old Jermaine Trevion Wilson.
After months of investigation, the Sheriff's Office identified the suspect in the killing as 30-year-old Marquis Dunlap. The EPCSO charged Dunlap with second-degree murder.
Dunlap is already in federal prison on unrelated charges.
