Witches and Warlocks stand-up paddleboard event returns to Quail Lake this weekend

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Several hundred witches and warlocks are expected to show up at Quail Lake in Colorado Springs this weekend.

The Witches and Warlock SUP event marks the beginning of fall and celebrates the return of Halloween. The event is hosted by Dragonfly Paddle Yoga and is open to anyone who wants to channel their inner witch or warlock while getting some good exercise at the same time.

Paddleboards are available to rent from Dragonfly Paddle for specific time slots. There’s no charge to participate on one’s own board other than the $5 lake use fee, which is payable at a self-service kiosk on the lake.

The event takes place Sunday, Sept. 25 from 10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
