Fort Carson hosting veteran career summit on Thursday
FORT CARSON, Colo. (KRDO) -- On Thursday, Sept. 22, Fort Carson is hosting a veteran job fair and career summit.
Organizations like Hiring Our Heroes, Wounded Warrior Project, and dozens of employers will be on hand for the event.
According to the Wounded Warrior Project, the event will include workshops ranging from career planning to using digital networking sites such as LinkedIn to resume writing and interviewing. The day will then conclude with a career fair.
The organization said the companies participating in the event range from America’s largest employers to many smaller companies from across the region.
The first half of the summit featuring seminars and workshops will take place from 8 a.m. to noon at the McMahon Auditorium. The job fair will take place from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the William “Bill” Reed Special Events Center.
All service members, including members of the National Guard and Reserve, are invited to attend. You can pre-register at https://hiringourheroes.org/events.
