Colorado Springs police have Platte Ave shut down after a shooting
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) is responding to an incident on Platte Ave.
CSPD says that there was a shooting outside the Acacia Park Apartments.
Police were called to a disturbance at 9:20 p.m. CSPD says that the individuals were known to each other. Police say the suspect shot at the victim who was then transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.
The suspect is known to police and is currently on the run says CSPD.
According to CSPD, east and west bound Platte is closed between Tejon and Nevada to pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
There is no estimated reopening time. CSPD does not believe there is a threat to the public.
