Shooting near I-25 and Bijou leaves 1 dead, suspect still on the loose
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Police are searching for the suspect in a shooting that left one dead Friday afternoon.
According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), there was a shooting in the area of I-25 and W. Bijou St. around noon.
Police say the suspect and the victim knew each other.
CSPD said the suspect fled the scene on foot wearing camouflage pants.
As of this writing, the suspect has not been captured.
Police say the Bijou bridge over I-25 will remain closed for several hours while police investigate the scene.
