New Colorado City post office opens for mail pick-up on Sept. 19
COLORADO CITY, Colo. (KRDO) -- Next week, Colorado City residents will again have convenient access to their mail.
On Monday, Sept. 19, a new contract post office location will open at 9048 South I-25 for PO box mail pick-up, according to the United State Postal Service (USPS).
The previous post office location was closed last month and mail delivery for Colorado City was relocated to a Pueblo post office. Thursday, Sept. 15 is the last day Colorado City residents can pick up their mail in Pueblo. The USPS said there will be no pick-up for Colorado City residents on Sept. 16 and 17, which will allow the USPS to transport the necessary equipment and mail to the new location in Colorado City.
Beginning Sept. 19, Colorado City customers can pick up their mail at the new location Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to noon.
“It was always our desire to restore service as soon as possible,” said Pueblo Postmaster Susan Grasmick. “We recognize the inconvenience and apologize for the disruption.”
