El Paso County Sheriff’s Office identifies the victim and suspect in Black Forest deaths

BLACK FOREST, Colo. (KRDO) -- On August 15, 2022, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office (EPSO) responded to a disturbance in a gated community called the Black Forest Reserve.

When deputies entered the residence, they found two adults deceased. EPSO detectives were called out to process the scene.  

Based on evidence and observations, the detectives are investigating this case as a murder/suicide. The Sheriff’s Office is not looking for any additional suspects.

The deceased victim has been identified by the El Paso County Coroner's Office as 50-year-old Breana Tilley.

The suspect has been identified as 53-year-old David Tilley.

EPSO says that the victim and suspect were married. They are still investigating a motive. The official cause of death will be released by the El Paso County Coroner's Office.
