Unanswered questions remain after two found dead in Black Forest home

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- The El Paso County Sheriff's Office says they cannot release additional information related to how two adults died inside a Black Forest home Monday evening.

Around 9:30 p.m. Monday, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office reported they were investigating "a disturbance involving a shooting" in the 15000 block of Pole Pine Pt., which is south of Hodgen Rd. Deputies say they found two people dead inside the home.

Lt. Deborah Mynatt said the initial 911 call came in just after 6:30 P.M. However, Mynatt did not say who made the call or if anyone else was inside the home at the time. She did say they were actively investigating potential witnesses late Monday night.

"At this time there are other witnesses that they are associated with, that may have been a person that they may have spoken with prior to this incident," Mynatt said. "I can't delve into the details as far as how many people were within the home, or if any were within the home or at the home at the time or within the area."

The deceased adults identities still remains unknown as well. The El Paso County Coroner's Office says they have not conducted autopsies on the individuals yet. It's unclear when those will be completed.

Mynatt said there is no known threat to the community at the Black Forest Reserve neighborhood. Monday evening, Mynatt said they were still actively investigating the deaths and were being sensitive with releasing information out of the care for the victims.

No further information is available at this time. The El Paso Co. Sheriff's Office is asking anyone with information to call 719-520-7777.
