BUENA VISTA, Colo. (KRDO) -- If you live in the Upper Arkansas River Valley and have ever wanted to learn to shoot a bow, Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) has the event for you.

CPW is hosting a free archery clinic for all ages on Monday, Aug. 22 in Buena Vista.

Anyone is welcome to attend the event and all equipment will be provided.

Participants will have the opportunity to shoot traditional archery targets as well as 3D decoy targets.

The event will take place from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the agency work station in Buena Vista, located at the corner of Highway 24 and Depaul Street, on the south side of Buena Vista.

“This will be a basic archery shoot with instruction for all ages and abilities,” District Wildlife Manager, Kevin Madler said. “No classroom training is required. Participants can just show up whenever between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. and shoot a few arrows.”

For more information, call Kevin Madler at the CPW Work Station at 719-539-8413.
