Boulder post office dedicated to officer killed in King Soopers shooting
BOULER, Colo. (KRDO) -- A post office in Boulder is now dedicated to the memory of fallen police officer, Eric Talley.
Officer Talley was the first one to arrive at the King Soopers last year where a gunman killed 10 people, including Talley.
Talley's mother spoke at the dedication Thursday, saying her son had a history of helping people, even if it meant putting himself at risk.
"I was not surprised that Eric was the first on the scene. And I was not surprised when I saw the video of his patrol car pull up and he ran in that building because that was Eric," Judy Talley said.
President Biden signed a bill to rename the post office after Officer Talley in March.
