COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Colorado Springs Police Department announced arrests in a string of robberies that happened in the beginning of 2022.

According to police, 20-year-old Isaiah Blaze Juvera of Colorado Springs and 20-year-old Jahiddi Ucef Williams of Fountain were taken into custody Tuesday, August 2, 2022.

CSPD says the two are suspects in three armed robberies.

On February 4, 2022, officers were dispatched to an armed robbery at the Liberty Tax business off of South Circle Dr. According to CSPD, employees were robbed at gunpoint by multiple suspects. Police say the suspects managed to leave with an undisclosed amount of money before they arrived.

Nearly a month later on March 2, 2022, police responded to two armed robbery calls.

According to CSPD, officers were dispatched to an armed robbery call for service at the Ace Cash Express off of N. Nevada Ave. at 8:15 a.m. Police say multiple suspects tried getting into the business while armed with firearms. However, they weren't able to get in and left before the police arrived.

Police say later that morning at 9:30 a.m. officers received another armed robbery call for service at the US Bank off of E. Pikes Peak Ave. According to police, multiple armed suspects robbed an ATM outside of the bank. The suspects left with an undisclosed amount of money before officers reached the scene.

The CSPD Robbery Unit took over all three investigations and determined they were committed by the same group of individuals. Over the next few months, CSPD says detectives with the Robbery Unit conducted an in-depth investigation.

On July 29, 2022, detectives obtained arrest warrants for Juvera and Williams. According to police they were both charged with one count each of second-degree kidnapping, aggravated robbery, and attempted aggravated robbery.

According to CSPD, the suspects were taken into custody Tuesday. Investigators also searched multiple vehicles and residences and found two firearms and other items of evidence.

CSPD says this is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Pikes Peak Area Crimestoppers at 719-634-7867.
