Detours in place at site of water main repair on Academy Blvd. in Colorado Springs
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) -- Colorado Springs Utilities crews are working to repair a water main at the intersection of Academy Blvd. and Meadowland Blvd. As a result, all southbound lanes are closed Wednesday morning.
Springs Utilities initially closed just two lanes but later decided to close all southbound lanes due to what they're calling safety concerns.
Two lanes southbound on Academy near the intersection of Meadowland will be closed through Thursday for a water main repair.

Colorado Springs Police have detours in place, though they are urging motorists to find alternate routes. At this time there's no estimated time of reopening.
